The House has been erected in 16th century and it was home of the former hanger / headsman or executor called Matej.
Matej (also called "Dobrak" – which means "Good" in czech), who tried to reduce torrnent of doomed, was also famous healer with good knowledge of various medical plants.
Later it became house of local forest guard principals.
Recent reconstruction helped to emphasize historical origin and its atmosphere. Ancient furniture was manufactured according to historical sources.
Little house / Pension of hanger Matej has private garden and is very quiet. All rooms have view to the garden and Castle. It is a good place to experience accommodation in romantic atmosphere of medieval times combined with nature. You will find no similar small hotel in Cesky Krumlov.

There are very good parking possibilities – you can park by the Little house, in nearby parking (paid) area about 80 meters or in Eggenberg brewery guarded parking places about 200 meters away (for 200 CZK per day).
