Hotel STACHOV is situated in the middle of the mountain region called Šumava, in the market town of Stachy. It is a paradise for hiking, cycling, mushrooming and blueberry picking during the summer months. We would also recommend trips to nearby well known places such as Javorník, Zadov, Churáňov, Kvilda, Bučina, spring of the Vltava river, Meridin, Kašperk castle, Sušice, Boubín hill, Lenora etc. Winter sport lovers will adore this area for its excellent winter sports facilities.
There is a ski centre Zadov – Churáňov 3 km from Stachy. Several well kept ski slopes that will satisfy beginners as well as experienced skiers. The Kvilda region, which is close to far from Zadov (approximately 5 km), is very popular with cross – country skiers as there are many kilometres of well kept running tracks. Many tracks run through the Šumava National Park a protected nature reserve.
