Dear European friends interested in visiting the Czech Republic. We would like to offer you a nice spending of your summer holidays in a cottage in Southern Bohemia, a beautiful and natural part of the Czech Republic. The place is near the confluence of two rivers in the very centre of Southern Bohemia among various nice historical towns. The river is about 200m from the cottage and flows through quiet hilly countryside with woods around. The place is very comfortable for active relaxing. You can spend your time in a peaceful quiet place surrounded by nature as well as you can take various kinds of trips. It is nice for trekking, cycling, canoeing, swimming and sunbathing, you can make trips to old and beautiful towns, castles and other historical sights, you can go fishing in the morning and make open fire outside in the evening. You can play squash or tennis etc. I think you won´t be bored there. The cottage is fully equipped, with at least standard and useful things. It has fully equipped kitchen with microwave, TV set, sattelite.
There are many ways of spending your leisure time. You can make trekking or cycling trips in beautiful woods or small towns in the close surrounding or you can go canoeing along the river. There is a possibility to do various sports in the sport centre in the nearest town or in a holiday resort nearby (tennis, squash, mini golf etc.). If you are bigger fans of sightseeings and places of interest, you find many castles and historical towns throughout Southern Bohemia. The main town is Ceske Budejovice with an old central part, the Black tower and an impressive fountain in the square. The town is probably most famous for its beer Budvar. Cesky Krumlov is a bit further down the south, at the foothills of Sumava mountains. It is probably the second most visited town after Prague for its beautiful castle and the historical centre. It is definitely among the first five touristic destinations. And there are much more. Prague is about 120 km away. You should visit it and walk through if you have never been there. Or you can just sit on the terrace having a drink.
The cottage is located near a village with a small castle which is about half a km up the river. There is a local shop where you can buy basic food and a pub with good beer, billiards, darts and a ping-pong table. The nearest town Tyn nad Vltavou is 4 km away. There are many supermarkets, shops and restaurants as well as sports centre and a swimming pool. The surrounding is ideal for trekking, cycling and other outdoor activities. In the photos you can see the cottage inside and the place around. The stay is very comfortable as the temperature in the cottage is cool even in the hottest days.
